Six-Flavor Date Balls

These delicious balls are perfect to have in the fridge as a healthy snack, and because they contain all six tastes, they give a wonderful feeling of satisfaction.

Ingredients

  • 250 grams Medjool dates
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger
  • 1/8 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Zest of 1 organic orange
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • 1/8 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cocoa powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1/3 cup coarsely chopped almonds
  • Sesame seeds (optional)

Preparation

  1. Place all ingredients in a food processor and blend until a ball forms.
  2. Transfer the ball to a pan over low heat and wait until the mixture has become drier.
  3. Remove the pan from the heat, add the almonds, and stir well.
  4. Let the mixture cool and then form into small balls. If desired, roll them in sesame seeds.
