Cozy Winters

In winter, it’s even more atmospheric here. While we can’t guarantee snow, the past three winters have mostly been white. The wood stove in your cabin provides cozy warmth, and the natural interior of the cabin makes it extra snug. Thanks to 45 solar panels, your stay is also sustainable. The cabin has everything you need: a charming kitchen, a separate bedroom for two, a wood stove, and central heating. With excellent insulation and triple-glazed windows, it’s also a perfect destination in the coldest months.

Mindfulness and Ayurveda

Mariëlle is a mindfulness teacher and has been working as an Ayurvedic practitioner for over 12 years. So, if you’d like to fully relax, you can book a consultation or a complete one-and-a-half-hour warm (oil) massage right here.

Experience the Nature and Culture of the Region

There is plenty to see and do in the area to fill an entire week. Explore the vast nature of the Glaskogen Nature Reserve or other beautiful spots nearby, such as Rackstad. Discover the art of Lars Lerin at the Sandgrund museum or at the Värmland Museum in Karlstad, spend a day in modern Oslo, or enjoy the charm of Arvika.

For example, visit the Rackstad Museum, explore the summer activities in Stadsparken, or discover the rich textile history at Väveri in Klässbol. There are many delightful cafés in the area, such as Elins Bakgård, Carls Café, Billingsudde, and Värmskogs Café. Year-round, there are loppis (garage sales), where you might just find something you didn’t know you were missing!

A New Beginning in Sweden

We, Jacco & Mariëlle, moved here from the Netherlands with our daughter in 2023 to settle in this unique spot. Here, in the middle of nature, we feel much more connected to the seasons and have more time for each other.

The peace, space, and outdoor life fit perfectly with our way of living and what we want to share with our guests.
